In the charming village of Štanjel, nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes, lies our Ana & Gaja Art Gallery, a place where creativity and inspiration intertwine. Together with my mother Ana Hanzel, ceramic artist, we embarked on this artistic journey in the summer of 2017, and little did we know that it would be the birthplace of Fi by Gaja.
In 2017 I presented bags and clothing for our beloved customers within the gallery's walls, who expressed genuine admiration for my work. Their appreciation sparked a realization within me—a vision to create a brand that would not only celebrate fashion but also embody sustainability and ethical practices. And in 2019 my brand was born.
Fi by Gaja emerged from a profound desire to make a positive difference in the world of fashion. I set out to create bags that not only captivate the eye but also honor our precious planet. Driven by my passion for the environment, I made a conscious decision to avoid materials that contribute to pollution and harm our planet. Instead, I sought out eco-friendly, plant-based alternatives that were both remarkable and vegan. Every bag crafted under the Fi by Gaja name tells a story of compassion for the Earth and its inhabitants.
Sustainability, to me, transcends beyond materials. It extends to the very essence of design, with an emphasis on timelessness. I wanted our bags to be cherished for seasons to come, effortlessly complementing different styles and wardrobes. It is in their versatility and enduring allure that Fi by Gaja truly shines.
